The purpose of cupping therapy is to relieve muscle tension, improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair. Cupping therapy may leave you with reddish brown spots that resemble bruising. This is simply just the stagnant blood, lactic acid, and/or toxins that are hanging out in your muscles, coming up to the surface of the skin from the cupping suction.
